MARVEL TO ANNOUNCE NEW BLADE REBOOT

What’s up with Blade these days?  Well it turns out Wesley Snipes is gone and in his place Mahershala Ali will take up the role.  Something to be confirmed very soon.

During Disney’s Investor Day presentation yesterday, Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased that we can expect announcements “very soon,” as the project is coming together behind the scenes.

“As we announced at Comic-Con last year, we’re moving ahead with Blade, starring Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali,” Feige said during the 4-hour Disney presentation.

He continued, “The development and story lines are coming together, and we’ll have announcements very, very soon.”

No Snipes?  Probably no deal from most of us, but at least it seems to have confirmed the female-reboot angle has been thrown in the trash.  So what say you?  Is anyone interested in this or is Blade now just another example of comic book bloat/fatigue?
