RARE ROBOCOP 2 FOOTAGE EMERGES

Here is a recently uploaded RoboCop 2 documentary that has rarely been seen.  It is of note in particular because it shows us footage from one of the more famous pieces of cut material from the film: Alex Murphy visiting his own grave.

The scene is actually from a dream sequence experienced by RoboCop after being dismembered by Cain.  The question of why it was cut might probably be answered by the description above: Alex Murphy visiting his own grave… too morbid in the eyes of the studio?

At any rate, a good documentary.  Note the open apprehension of Peter Weller in this video, repeating that it was the script in its original form that drew him to the movie.  Weller has said in the past he was unhappy with elements of the film being removed.

Still a class sequel though.
