SCOTT PLANNING WW2 TV SERIES

Ridley Scott is going to try his hand at a WW2 epic drama series, according to Deadline.com.

Based on Sir Antony Beevor’s books, the series will seek to be more inclusive of other participants in the war and their views, including Germany, Russia and France, as opposed to the usual Anglo-American angles which are usually presented.

Scott plans to direct the launch episode, and while Knight and Beevor will write all episodes. All three executive produce alongside PJ van Sandwijk, Michael Lesslie, David W. Zucker and Marina Brackenbury.

It’ll be interesting to see if this if Scott can pull something out of the bag with this, his recent work has been questionable.
