I see that Michael B. Jordan has turned down the opportunity to play Superman in the new movie. They’re making sure the new Superman is Black, apparently in a political move. Wise move, by Jordan, that is, I like to think he sees that it’ll be nothing but a giant bunch of hassle on his doorstep and that someone else may be using him as a woke battering device.
No-one wants to see a Black Superman. Equally, no-one wants a White ‘Blade’. Actually, no-one wants Blade without Wesley Snipes. In any case, Jordan would probably be the subject of nerd ire and used as bait, to rile up an increasingly divided America.
They’re also looking for a Black director, and writer. And it looks like they’ve found their writer, Ta Nehisi Coates. But this man is a racist lunatic. Below are some of his past Tweets.
“It’s a joke”, say liberals. I’m sure they’d be busting a gut laughing if Henry Cavill said something similar in reverse. So if you’re Michael B. Jordan and you get to direct and star in Creed III, do you chose that project or to work with Mr. Coates as someone else’s cynical martyr?
Anyway, it looks like the next Superman is DOA. I get the feeling that certain people involved with this are salivating at the inevitable dislike massacre on the first trailer. You just know this is what it’s about. Movies are being used too much now, for political shit-stirring.
It’s okay though. Coates is going to get the Mel Gibson treatment. Any. Day. Now…
