WATERWORLD GETTING TV SEQUEL

Have you paid your trillions in carbon taxes to the elite yet, like the intellectuals from the local campus told you to?  Well if you’ve forgotten, a new update for Waterworld in the form of a TV sequel will remind you.

Collider reports that a streaming TV show take on the infamous 1995 Kevin Costner film is now in the works, which would pick up the story in that film 20 years after its ending. 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Boys director Dan Trachtenberg is reportedly attached to direct.

Joking aside about propaganda, the original movie was extraordinarily expensive.  And it showed on camera, a lot of work went into making it what it was (that is to say, an underrated escapist yarn).  But a fear that I’d have for this TV show would be the use of green screen, with the entire thing filmed in a giant bath tub.  A personal hate of mine.  A full series for an expensive concept… they may cut that most expensive of corners…

Anyway, the show is set 20 years after the movie.
