Back in August Kevin Bacon spoke about Tremors. He said the usual stuff, it was a great movie and such, but more importantly spoke about a desire to return to the franchise. Now it seems that it was not idle talk and that Bacon is actually producing a TV show. Says Deadline:
A TV reboot of the 1990 cult classic film Tremors is in the works from Universal Cable Prods and Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Prods., with the original pic’s star Kevin Bacon attached to reprise his role. Bacon also is exec producing and Andrew Miller is on board to pen the adaptation.
Alright good. But we also need Fred Ward. And their 1963 Jeep Gladiator J20, one of the manliest pickups ever. I wouldn’t mind seeing Michael Gross return too because to be honest, the less said about the recent sequel he was in, the better. Get him aboard the real thing.
Oh, and this isn’t the first time they’ve attempted to do this. The first ‘Tremors’ TV show didn’t make it past the pilot stage. Check this out…
