It was revealed recently that Mad Max: Fury Road had picked up a special nod this year as it has been declared best movie of 2015 by the National Board of Film. It was an unexpected victory for the movie Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, which received favorable reviews when it opened in May, but is seen as an awards season long shot
Now the film has also scored Best Picture, Director, Editing and Cinematography from the Online Film Critics Society for their 19th annual awards – easily dominating the field.
Other movies that took awards include Inside Out for Best Animated Feature, The Assassin for Best Foreign Language Film, The Look of Silence for Best Documentary , Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs) and Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina) for acting awards, and Spotlight for Best Original Screenplay.
