It may not have been the towering negativity following the third movie that threatens ‘The Expendables 4’ so much as it might be positivity elsewhere. Sylvester Stallone pulled a dud with The Expendables 3, but appeared in a good movie known as Creed.
Hell, he took awards and shit.
Now, TMoney has cast doubt on a fourth movie, well, Stallone’s participation at least. According to SlashFilm;
Crews has not spoken to Stallone about it. However as a friend, and seeing Stallone as a mentor, Crews would support Stallone pursuing post-Creed options and leaving The Expendables franchise to the other Expendables.
“I’m just thinking he’s got options now,” Crews said. “As well he should. He should think about what his next move is going to be, what he’s going to do. Creed was amazing, amazing. It showed his depth and he’s a lot deeper than people always give him credit for.”
You think The Expendables is done? No way! There’ll be a fourth movie, simply because the name is now profitable. Now whether that means a fourth movie in theaters is another thing. But if you ask me we’ll be seeing Avi Lerner pumping out ‘Expendables’ stuff ’till the day he dies.
Expendables 9 on VOD with 39 second Mr. Church cameo, anyone?
