Depardieu Takes Clooney Down A Peg

The ongoing migrant crisis in Europe is the subject of severe controversy.  And recently, George Clooney demonstrated just how far his ego goes when he said he was meeting with Angela Merkel to discuss the situation.  Good grief, I still can’t get over that.

And neither apparently, can Gerard Depardieu.  ‘I saw that Mr George Clooney wanted to see Mrs Merkel. I worry that it went badly,’ he said, in a jab of awesome sarcasm, because as we all know, if George can’t solve this, who can? Depardieu also added, ‘It’s good that now you can be an actor and a ecologist and a politician, you can do everything.’

The French (now Russian) actor also took aim at Leonardo DiCaprio and The Revenant.  ‘That’s a bit different from what you get in general in cinema at the moment,’ Depardieu said, referring to the gritty setting for the film and reports that the actors had to work in very trying conditions.
