Misandry Propaganda Movie Opens Strongly

I know some might be expecting a review of this movie soon, but unlike something like Mad Max: Fury Road I’m not going to rush out and see it just for the purpose of a review.  I’m busy, it’s summer etc.  But if any of the usual guys who help keep the site spinning and written reviews before etc want to give it an autopsy then I’d be eager to read and post.

But that said, it’s bad news from the front gentlemen.  This dino turd has taken 46 million on its first weekend.  I don’t know, but that’s too strong for now.  I’m guessing the nuclear heat the movie had, along with the namesake, gave it a morbid curiosity kickstart.  The second weekend will probably be more telling, along with the fact that the Chinese have banned the movie.  Of course China is the second bigger movie market now.

That said, let’s have a positive note.  Later this year Sony will do what they normally do – release a Playstation with the latest home media drive for a knock down price.  We’ll be able to get an affordable 4k Blu-Ray player and 4k releases of Ghostbusters 1 & 2.  See, I think Ghostbusters 2 is an underrated movie.  I liked the villain and darker mood.
