Arnold/Murphy/De Vito Going Ahead With Triplets?

Apparently the script for Triplets has been completed and the cast, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eddie Murphy and Danny De Vito are all happy with how it turned out.  Screenwriter (and actor) Josh Gad tells MTV that, he’s heard all three reacted positively to the screenplay – which sees Murphy joining Schwarzenegger and DeVito as an unlikely third, twin brother.

“To my knowledge, they all flipped out for the final product,” Gad said. “Everybody is, from my knowledge, extremely happy with it.”

There’s a lot of “to my knowledge” in there for my liking.  It doesn’t sound 100% confident.  I’m not sure this movie will ever see the light of day either.

“Julius and Vincent were already kind of there for us,” Gad said. “But Eddie’s character for the movie is somebody that we tried to create, obviously something completely new, but something which also takes into account all our experiences, collective memories of Eddie Murphy through the years; whether it’s Axel Foley or his character from ‘Coming to America.’ What do we want to see him doing in this world?”

I’m sure even if this is being planned, they’ll hold off until they see how  Terminator: Genesis and Beverly Hills Cop IV perform…
