LETHAL WEAPON 5 UPDATE

What do we know about Lethal Weapon 5 (‘Lethal Finale‘)?  It will directed by Mel Gibson, at the behest of the late Richard Donner.  It was supposed to start production in early March, there was a delay.  It’ll focus more on Roger Murtaugh than anyone else.  It’ll be released on HBO Max.

But with radio silence, some thought it was in development hell.  Not so according to Clint Morris:

So Danny Glover is going through the Lethal Weapon 5 script as we speak apparently. Lauren Schuler Donner, who is producing, has undoubtedly made sure it reads and will play like the rest of the films in hubby Dick's series. Sounds like it'll shoot soon.

I trust Clint.  And he has all kinds of insider contacts.  So, sounds like it’ll ‘shoot soon’, which reflects what Mel said earlier this month in Scotland.
