Danny Glover has signed onto a new police action thriller. Gridlocked is the prospective title. Co-starring will be Avatar’s Stephen Lang. Allan Ungar is the director of Tapped Out, a recent riff on The Karate Kid (well unofficially) starring Michael Biehn.
Here is what The Hollywood Reporter had to say:
“The Canadian action thriller Gridlocked has added Danny Glover to its cast. Glover will play police chief Sully in the indie film where Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell plays a former SWAT leader who is being shadowed by an The arrogant movie star, played by Cody Hackman.
It’s always good to see Danny Glover in any capacity, the man oozes sheer class and never phones his roles in. Perhaps we can hope for something decent with this small budget thriller. And you gotta wonder, if Danny is still interested in playing a cop…
