The Purge 3 Is On The Way
The Purge is a manly series, maybe not the best movies ever, but some good R-rated material in there for sure. The second movie was a success and considering that it should come as no surprise to hear that a third movie is on the way. The concept sure is ripe for almost infinite stories especially since they do not return to characters.
Writer/director James DeMonaco will return to pen the script and this week has said:
“I never imagined that The Purge would become the phenomenon it has become and I am thrilled to continue my collaboration with Blumhouse, Sebastien Lemercier, Platinum Dunes and the great team at Universal in building The Purge into a worldwide franchise.”
So let’s hope that the third movie is the best of the franchise. I’m sure they’ll put even more money behind it this time too, since the series seems to be on an upward trend. All they need now is a big name.
