John Carpenter Joins Free John McTiernan Movement
It’s been a while since an update on John McTiernan has been posted, who is serving a wrongful gulag sentence. The true fans over at the Free John McTiernan Facebook Page are continuing the fight, adding ever more big names to their list of supporters. The latest, John Carpenter, a man who needs no introduction. Here’s what they have to say: “We are proud to welcome among our most prestigious supporters a true living legend of cinema : Mr. John Carpenter himself, the immortal filmmaker of Halloween, Escape from New York, The Thing, Prince of Darkness and They Live, who supports John McTiernan on Twitter!”.
John’s wife Gail recently revealed that any hope of him being released early has been scuttled by corrupt Judges, where evidence is basically ignored and/or manufactured to suit a given agenda of a time or fitting of their own convenience. I guess the good news is on the flip side, the actual convicts have more honor than the ‘law’, as they’re showing John the respect he deserves (he has earned the nickname ‘Big Mac’) and additionally, he’s about halfway done with this pissant sentence. Not long to go.
John has a long line of big name supporters on the outside too, among them Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Irons, Michael Biehn, Vladimir Kulich, Q’orianka Kilcher, Sam Neill, Samuel L. Jackson, John Leguizamo, Brad Bird, Joe Carnahan, Florent Emilio Siri, Jan Kounen, Russell Mulcahy, Gale Ann Hurd and Robert Davi. Missing in action though, for example, Bruce Willis and yes, you too Arnold Schwarzenegger. Open your mouths. Another guy I’m 100% positive who would be on John’s side is Jesse Ventura, I’m sure he is a supporter but just hasn’t been asked.
