Manliest Action Movie: First Blood Vs. Die Hard

Last week in the quest to find the manliest movie of all time, we checked out which was the manliest war movie of all time.  Das Boot, probably the best of all submarine movies versus Kelly’s Heroes, probably the best of all tank movies.  Kelly’s Heroes came out on top as the manliest war movie of all time.  It’ll face off against Rocky as the manliest fighting movie of all time in the semi finals.

This week we’re looking for the manliest action movie of all time.  It will boil down to Die Hard versus.  First Blood was one of the first true action movies and one of the pioneers in the purest decade of action ever.  Arguably, Die Hard, which needs no introduction, may only have been 3/4 the movie it ultimately was had First Blood not broken that ground years earlier.

So now we’re going to find out which one deserves the top spot.  There are other action movies of course, but they’ll have their chance through different genres.  Likely, one of these two movies will meet either RoboCop or Predator at some point.
