Positive Test Screenings For Fury (2014)

Here’s some good news about Fury, David Ayer‘s WW2 tank movie starring Brad Pitt.  David Ayer and Brad Pitt are said to be very pleased with the movie and have confidently held multiple test screenings – all of them testing highly positively.  The most recent was at least one this month, with Brad Pitt even bringing his old man along to an August 7th screening.

The first screening was in June.  Here’s a report from that initial screening:

I saw it yesterday at a test screening in Huntington Beach, CA. We were told that we were the very first audience to see it. The film seemed pretty much completed except I noticed a couple shots inside the tank where there weren’t any sound effects, just dialogue. I really enjoyed the film, and my friend who is a military buff said everything was extremely accurate and realistic.

Unfortunately, I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so I can’t give any specifics, but I can say it is an excellent film!

I’d say it will definitely be an R. There are several shots of gore but nothing really over the top by current standards.
