(VIDEO) Antoine Fuqua Talks The Equalizer

Denzel Washington is set to star in The Equalizer, directed by Antoine Fuqua (director of some very manly movies).  The trailer and premise look great.  Even better though, Sony tested the movie, set to be R-rated, last Christmas with a private audience.  It was their highest testing R-rated movie ever.

In fact… step up Todd Black, producer of the movie, to reaffirm it’s ‘R’ credentials.

“You’re going to see a very hard R movie. It’s called The Equalizer and it’s about a guy who takes care of people who either can’t or don’t know how to take care of themselves because they’ve been done wrong by really bad people.

And he takes care of those people that have such a wrong doings it done to them. And he gives the bad people a chance to rectify it at every turn. And when they don’t take him up on his chance he violently, violently takes care of them in a way that they will never breathe again.”

Good news, eh?  It’s nice to see a producer hype the fact that his movie is R-rated or more importantly feel the need to say so.  One more thing… Fuqua speaks about the movie in his interview, below.
