Skull Island Still Happening

A good creature feature is always good ‘manly movie’ go-to material, since the 1930s actually.  So good to hear that the King Kong prequel Skull Island is still going forward.  Well I should not really say prequel as it isn’t really connected to any previous ape movie.

In fact the movie is now getting set to get a re-write from screenwriter John Gatins, who was nominated for an Academy Award for the 2012 movie Flight.

The movie will supposedly not leave the beast’s back yard, staying completely in origins territory.  I just hope it’s somewhat better than the last movie.  Did anyone else not find Peter Jackson’s King Kong just a bit… monotonous?  Anyway, just make sure to feed Kong a hot enough woman again, remember, he likes ’em blonde.
