Frank Grillo Drops Out Of Raid Remake

During promotion of The Purge sequel last year Frank Grillo said he was slated to appear in The Raid remake, but that he wouldn’t do it if it didn’t the original justice.  It turns out that this might actually be what happens, as Grillo sorta silently pointed out on Twitter recently;

Watching my boy @iko_uwais in #THERAID. There’s no way I’m doing a remake of this. Couldn’t do it justice. #respect

So who knows, maybe the movie isn’t looking too good.  And maybe that’s why we haven’t been hearing so much on it.  I was under the impression January was a ‘go’ date for this movie so obviously that’s not the case now either.  Kudos to Grillo for turning down a payday for a shit movie, I suppose?
