FX Creating WW2 Mini Series

“Justified” creator/showrunner Graham Yost will reportedly team up with actor Noah Wyle for an upcoming WW2 mini series “Those Angry Days” at FX. Wyle is thought to be playing CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow in the show which also features President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a character.

The story will focus on the period between 1937 and 1941, as war spread across Europe while isolationist forces in U.S. Congress and elsewhere railed against the prospect of America coming to Britain’s aid in the fight against Hitler.

This makes it the third ‘big’ WW2 mini series in the pipeline alongside another Spielberg/Hanks series, “Masters of the Air” and Danny Boyle’s “Telemark”.
