McTiernan’s Warbirds Films This March

John McTiernan’s upcoming movie ‘Warbirds’ will appear at the Berlin Film Festival next month.  It makes for a nice update as McTiernan will have to fight to cement his comeback and Hannibal Classics, the production company isn’t the biggest in the world.

The fesitval will run from 5th Feb until the 15th.  Following that, the movie is reported to be moving before cameras in March.

However there is no sign of Red Squad appearing on the company’s upcoming production schedule, even though it still appears as in ‘pre-production’ on their website.  John Travolta is scheduled to appear in Warbirds, which makes sense given that Travolta is a licensed pilot himself.

Less encouraging though was last years news that offers apparently went out to Queen Latifah and Johnny Knoxville for supporting parts. McTiernan says that he is still negotiating a salary but has been offered $1 million for the gig.
