More Evidence That Fury Road Is Rated R

I would say of all films covered on this site since it was launched, Mad Max: Fury Road probably has more entries than any other.  Probably because it’s been in the oven for so long.  Everything about the film we’re hearing, mostly, has been positive.

Still though the jury is out on its board classification.  Rotten Tomatoes has been calling it ‘R’ for a while, but some suspect that’s just some type of temporary entry for that site.

Another site though now claims the same thing.  The aptly titled FilmRatings.com now only says that the movie is ‘R’ but also gives a small description as to why.  ‘Rated R for intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images.’  That’s kind of specific don’t you think?

P.S. last year, or was it 2012, I posted some images from this movie.  One was of Immortan Joe, the main baddie wearing a mask, minus mask, and a jaw.  Yeah, it was pretty gruesome and certainly did not look like it was fit for a typical ‘Furious’ audience.  As it happens I got a cease and desist letter to remove it.

Either way I suppose we’ll find out soon.
