“Story Of Your Life” Sees Renner Resist Alien Invasion

Jeremy Renner is set to appear in a new sci-fi flick about aliens invading the earth. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has boarded “Story of Your Life” which has Amy Adams attached to star and “Prisoners” director Denis Villeneuve attached to helm.  And Prisoners was a pretty good movie.

The film is based on Ted Chiang’s short story about aliens landing on Earth. The military then recruits a linguist expert (Adams) to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. Renner will play a physics professor brought on to help communicate with the aliens.

Glen Basner’s FilmNation will produce with David Linde’s Lava Bear Films and 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Dan Levine.
