Eastwood Circling Richard Jewell Film

I don’t care what anyone says about Clint Eastwood, for example the people who recently bawled over American Sniper.  For all the controversy and subject matter, that was a good movie.  That’s because Clint Eastwood was, and is, a master craftsman.

So we always look forward to hearing about his new stuff.

He is said to be circling FOX’s currently untitled Billy Ray-scripted Richard Jewell biopic.  Jewell was a security guard who discovered a suspicious backpack in the Olympics compound during the 1996 games in Atlanta. He was vilified as a possible terrorist, and his good work in helping clear bystanders from the area before the bomb exploded turned into a trip to the Twilight Zone.

Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio are both rumoured to be lined up for this movie.  Sorry, but I’m going to have to interject a bit of personal opinion here and state that I cannot stand Leonardo DiCaprio and do not rate him as an actor, and have found him to have ruined several movies I otherwise might have enjoyed.
