Well it wasn’t until a few years ago that I actually found out that the word feminist applies to both men and women, when certain social justice warriors, who appeared to be male, started referring to themselves as ‘feminists’. You can add director Joss Whedon to that list.
Whedon came out this week sounded like some sort of Stalinst commissar when he critisized a clip from Jurassic World as being offensive, because it was sexist. I think that you really need to read the quote and watch the actual clip to appreciate how far down Orwell’s hole we’re going here.
…and I’m too busy wishing this clip wasn’t 70’s era sexist. She’s a stiff, he’s a life-force – really? Still? https://t.co/qqts4jpSva

You can see the clip in question below. And really, I cannot fathom how any normal brain could arrive at the conclusion that there was bigotted sexism at play in that video. The sanctimony is off the richter scale and out of this universe. It’s totally baffling.
You know what’s funny here? Whedon was responding to a tweet from the feminist geek-culture site The Mary Sue; the tweet was making a different point, namely that they did not care to listen to what Chris Pratt was saying because they found him too attractive. Well shit, that’s sexism!
Pipe down Whedon!
