Legend Of Conan Getting Expanded Universe?

I like the fact that there is continued talk about The Legend of Conan, despite the fact that Terminator: Genisys still is not out of the way and how it will probably bomb and not do Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career/reputation any favours.  The latest mumbling is that there could be plans to expand the Conan universe.

Deadline today reports that Legend of Conan producer Frederik Malmberg, who also produced the 2011 reboot starring Jason Momoa, has acquired the rights to Howard’s entire catalogue of characters, paying $7.5 million to take control of Paradox Entertainment.

“These days,” Malmberg tells the outlet, “it comes down to brands and characters and we are looking at long term possibilities. We look at how Marvel played out with its rich based of characters, and this too is a universe that lends itself to exploitation in TV and films there aren’t many libraries like this.”

Good to hear, just as long as it includes the real Conan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and not some pissant WWE wrestler or something.
