Steven Seagal Is The ‘Perfect Weapon’

Would you believe us if we told you that Sensei Steven Seagal is making another movie?  And that it is going to be direct to video?  And that in said movie, Steven Seagal is going to play a former mercenary/assassin?

VMI Worldwide has announced the movie and revealed the premise/synopsis for the project.  If you feel a bit cynical after reading it then I don’t think anyone would blame you.

In the not too distant future, an elite assassin fails to terminate his target and finds himself on the run from the totalitarian state’s secret government organization that employs him.

I really don’t get it if I’m being honest.  This could be practically any random Seagal movie from the past 15 years.  How is this shit considered financially feasible?  Obviously, somebody, somewhere, is buying this garbage religiously.  En masse.

How hard is it to try something different, even if only once?  I’m still wondering what is happening with ‘Cypher’, his supposed comeback (latest) movie with a 20-30 million budget.
