Bautista’s New Action Movie Sounds Really Cool

The star of upcoming manly movies Kickboxer: Vengeance and Spectre, Dave Bautista, appears to be carving himself out a name within the action genre.  And that’s only going to continue if one of his latest movies is anything to go by. Buschwick sounds almost like a modern day Escape From New York.

Bushwick tells the story of twenty-year-old Lucy and war veteran Stupe (Bautista). Texas is trying to secede from the U.S., and NYC is being used as a negotiation tool. Lucy meets Stupe after coming up from the subway into the military invasion of Brooklyn. Together they decide to cross the treacherous five blocks of Bushwick – littered with looters, local militias, the invading forces, and one crazy cousin – in order to get home and be reunited with Lucy’s grandmother.

Jane Levy will play Lucy and the film will be directed by will be directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott.
