Oh Look, A New ‘Ghostbusters’ Picture

Since we’re getting an all-female Ghostbusters next year, early promotion continues with a new pic.  But you know, you should ‘progress’ and avoid acknowledging the fact that there is now a huge gender alteration and simply call it Ghostbusters.

Sony Pictures head Tom Rothman recently spoke to THR about the way the general public has perceived his rebranding of this once beloved franchise. And he calls it outright sexist. He believes the louder majority are simply ‘pissing and moaning’, and bluntly stated ‘Fuck ’em!’ When asked how he feels about the situation, he went onto say the following. “Everybody says we’re making the female Ghostbusters, but I say, ‘No, we’re making the funny Ghostbusters.’ Yes, it happens to be four women. It’s original. You get pissing and moaning on the Internet – sexist comments – but, you know, fuck ’em.” 

After that cynical stunt where they upset sick children at a hospital in an attempt to cover some damage control, I didn’t think they could get any worse, but saying ‘fuck the fans’ is a new low on me and exceptional chutzpah.  Looks like you got a real winner on your hands pal…
