A few pieces of news here. First, Irwin Winkler, the producer who won the best-picture Oscar for the original Rocky movie, says the sequel to last year’s acclaimed series spin-off ‘Creed’ is moving forward fast. Speaking at The Hollywood Masters interview session (via THR), Winkler says: “Next couple of weeks, we’ll start. But basically it’s about Creed [rather than Rocky]. We think that there is really a story to examine the life of Adonis Creed, and we’re going ahead with it.”
Second is the trailer for upcoming comedy ‘Yank’. The film will star Fred Willard (Anchorman, Best in Show), Kevin Farley (The Waterboy, Tommy Boy), Colm Meaney (Hell on Wheels, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Nichole Forester (Guiding Light, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice), Niki Spiridakos (Blond Ambition) and writer/director Sean Lackey. The satirical comedy film follows Tom Murphy – a middle-aged man from a proud fourth-generation Irish family in Cleveland that has never before been to Ireland – as he becomes the first of his family to visit the real Ireland for his best friends wedding. It will be available on DVD & VOD in North America from March 1st.
Lastly, if you look a the new trailer for ‘Ghostbusters’ (below) you’ll see something that you don’t see very often, more than one thousand dislikes an hour since initial upload, or 30,000 plus dislikes since uploading earlier today.
I guess Sony might want to reconsider their response to fans (“fuck you”, actually a response by Tom Rothman) upon seeing this.
