It was a surprise to everyone when it was revealed that Dolph Lundgren was due to appear in a sequel to 1990 classic (come on, it is!) Kindergarten Cop. However even though the movie is not out yet, If you look at the Amazon listing for Kindergarten Cop 2 [DVD] [2016], you’ll see some suspect glowing reviews. I mean look at this one;
This is a family friendly kid movie that has Dolph Lundgren vs kids. How awesome it that? Universal took the reigns and released a sequel to a classic movie. They got director Don Michael Paul on board who has had success with sequels like Jarhead 2 and Tremors 5. His vision is seen in these films as fresh and imaginative. Their plots were different that what a preview appears to show. So, I know that Kindergarten Cop 2 will have just the same impact, that the plot will have something that is unexpected. Thanks to Universal and director Don Michael Paul making this film.
Posted months ago, this person has curious access to the movie, giving it 5/5 and heralding the dog shit that was Jarhead 2 and Tremors 5. Hmm… Here’s another;
In my humble opinion, best movie I’ve seen… Possibly ever.
That one has access to the movie’s unreleased plot details and such. I guess the horrific dislikes on the trailer prompted a certain reaction. Here’s another thing I wrote some time ago about a Vinnie Jones movie that got a mysterious and laughable amount of early 10/10s on the IMDb.
Anyway, according to Universal, Kindergarten Cop 2 is: A no-nonsense undercover agent meets his match when he poses as a teacher at a progressive elementary school in Kindergarten Cop 2, an all-new movie coming exclusively to home entertainment in 2016 from Universal 1440 Entertainment. A fish-out-of-water tale with laughs for the entire family, the film stars Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables 3, Workaholics) and Bill Bellamy (White Collar, Royal Pains).
One thing this movie really needs is some killer one liners. And prank calls.
