Well, here’s one way to put your career in jeopardy. According to THV11, teacher Greg Hendrix made his students at Wilbur D. Mills High School in Little Rock watch a film as part of a class on “History since 1890,” before having them take a quiz on the movie. The movie was The Passion of the Christ. The teacher was told to go home.
In a recording taken by a student, the teacher also complained about Democrats and liberals, bemoaning “political correctness.”
Gibson’s film was a box office blockbuster for the stridently Catholic director despite earning an R-rating for its extreme portrayal of the torture and crucifixion of Jesus Christ — making over $600 million. As the teacher played the video, students left the classroom in protest when they realised they were being shown a video about Jesus Christ.
All of this reminds me on that time when a head teacher was fired for showing a Chuck Norris movie to children as young as seven. I mean, maybe that would’ve helped out these problematic kids!
