They’re Rebooting The Saint

Another reboot.

This time it’s The Saint, so it’s a re-reboot.  Paamount will re-do Leslie Charteris’ novel series which follows Simon Templar, a smart, quick-witted man who went after the scourges of the Earth – corrupt politicians, war profiteers, drug runners – to benefit his country and the greater good.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Brad Krevoy and Robert Evans are expected to produce the film – twenty years on since the release of the Phil Noyce-directed previous film adaptation starring Val Kilmer.  Roger Moore was the original live action ‘Saint’, there’s irony in there because Bond sort of copied the Saint, which then copied Bond with its first reboot…

Pity about the Val Kilmer movie, I have heard it isn’t too good.  Well, maybe it is?
