Stallone Developing TV Comedy

Sylvester Stallone is taking another foray into television with his upcoming comedy Pizza Guy.

It will be a comedy based on the crazy life of Richie Palmer, who fled the Bronx 20 years ago to open Mulberry Street Pizzeria in Beverly Hills, California.

A.J. Benza, former gossip columnist and host of “Case Closed” on Reelz, is writing the pilot.

“Sly called me one day and said, ‘Richie’s life is insane. He’s sitting on a gold mine with all the stories and characters that place has,’” Benza told me. “We both [have known] Richie forever, so we put our heads together and banged it out.”

Stallone is also supposedly still attached to produce The Expendables TV series.  By the way, whatever happened to that Stallone video game that was shown about 2-3 years ago?  A third person shooter using his likeness?
