5 Actors Who Only Play Themselves Over & Over

BRUCE WILLIS

Bruce Willis likes his profession as an actor, at least the part where they pay him the money.  But he doesn’t like the part where he has to act.  But don’t worry, Walter_B has a fallback plan.  Play Bruce Willis.  This makes things easier, see.  Then, you only have to memorize the lines they give you.

I don’t know where this started, but if I think back, it was at least around The Sixth Sense.  We learned at the time that the dejected character Willis was playing was coming across this way because he was stuck in limbo, a ghost.  Now, we know better.  Willis wasn’t playing a ghost, he was playing Bruce Willis.  A distant smirk, whispering the dialogue… always careful not to strain himself. That’s it Bruce, take it easy.

I think in recent times the only instances of Willis breaking character were in a little rampage in Looper and while laughing at Sylvester Stallone in the teaser for The Expendables 2 . But once again, I don’t think he was acting, they probably caught a rare sight on camera, Willis just laughing at Stallone (contemptuously)!

VERDICT: UNWILLING.  VERY, VERY UNWILLING
