Gareth Evans Ready For Kidnap Thriller ‘Apostle’

So what is Gareth Evans, creator of the “Raid” series up to recently?

Apparently he’s writing and directing a period thriller called “Apostle”, and the plot is as follows:

The story follows a man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult. The group demands a ransom for the sister’s return, undermining the man’s resolve to rescue her.

Evans is circling Dan Stevens of “The Guest” fame to star. No updates on “The Raid 3” or “Blister” so far, though.
