McQuoid To Direct Mortal Kombat Remake?

Australian advert director Simon McQuoid is said to be in talks to direct the Mortal Kombat reboot at New Line.

Greg Russo wrote the most recent draft based on the manly 1990s game franchise which has released numerous sequels, two previous films and several web series to date.

McQuoid’s award winning work includes high-profile campaigns for PlayStation, Halo, Range Rover, Beats by Dre, and other top brands.

James Wan, Michael Clear, Todd Garner and Jeremy Stein are producing.  This kind of conflicts with Christopher Lambert’s recent claim that they were making a third movie and not a reboot.
