Bruckheimer Comes In To Save Butler Storm Movie

Gerard Butler filmed a movie called Geostorm two years ago, it still hasn’t been released.  The Dean Devlin-directed movie has had poor test screenings, so they’ve brought Jerry Bruckheimer in to try and curate the thing with reshoots.

The reshoots are described as ‘significant’, with a brand new scientist character having been created while a character previously played by Kathryn Winnick (Vikings) was recast. Shutter Island scribe Laeta Kalogridis wrote the pages for the reshoots, which took place in early December in Louisiana.

Here’s the synopsis: As a man heads into space to prevent climate-controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions, his brother discovers a plot to assassinate the president.
