Arnold Turns Down The Predator
There have been rumours of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s involvement with The Predator, although nothing was confirmed. A cameo was suggested, but director Shane Black stopped short of saying that it was definitely going to happen. Now, Arnold confirms himself that it will not happen.
My all-time favorite film of yours is Predator, and Shane Black is now rebooting the franchise with The Predator. Are you involved with it in any way?
They asked me, and I read it, and I didn’t like it — whatever they offered. So I’m not going to do that, no. Except if there’s a chance that they rewrite it, or make it a more significant role. But the way it is now, no, I won’t do that.
From what I’ve heard about the script from a trusted source who has read it, Arnold was probably right to reject this one (although that didn’t seem to stop him with Terminator: Genisys).
The Predator is currently filming.
