LionsGate Lifts New Gibson/Vaughn Thriller

What could be better than Bone Tomahawk director S. Craig Zahler making a new movie?  Probably Mel Gibson joining his cast.  What could be even better again?  The movie being a crime thriller, Vince Vaughn will also join Gibson.  Now words comes out of Cannes that the movie is definitely moving forward, with LionsGate’s Summit distributing.

Here’s the synopsis for DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE via THR;

The script centers on two policemen, one an old-timer (Gibson), the other his volatile younger partner (Vaughn), who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics become the media’s cause du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just due, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows.

Zahler will write the script too.  Fuck, it sounds like Blood Father all over again!  And of course, Bone Tomahawk is the best western in years.
