TRAILERS: “TRIPLE THREAT” & “PARADOX” (2017)

A quick update on the Asian corner of Manly Movies, considering we’re about to get a double dose of Tony Jaa later this year…

First up is the trailer for the much anticipated Triple Threat starring Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Tiger Chen; with Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, Jeeja Yanin, Michael Bisping and Celina Jade co-starring. Jesse V. Johnson (Savage Dog) directs.

Synopsis:

A hit contract is taken out on a billionaires daughter intent on bringing down a major crime syndicate. A down and out team of mercenaries must take on a group of professional assassins and stop them before they kill their target.

Next up is the trailer for the Hong Kong action thriller Paradox, again starring Jaa and also featuring HK actor Louis Koo. The film is directed by Wilson Yip of the Ip Man trilogy and S.P.L., with action choreography by Sammo Hung.

Synopsis:

When his teenage daughter goes missing in Thailand, a Hong Kong police negotiator (Koo) heads there himself to find her, teaming up with two detectives (Jaa and Wu Yue) and uncovering a criminal plot in the process.
