The Foreigner Gets New Trailer

Above is a new trailer for the upcoming revenge actioner (always a dependable genre for Manly Movies) The Foreigner, starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. The film is directed by Martin Campbell of GoldenEye, Casino Royale , Edge of Darkness and The Mask of Zorro fame, and it shows. From the looks of it, this could be the best thing Chan has starred in in years.

The synopsis for the film is as follows:

Based on Stephen Leather’s 1992 novel ‘The Chinaman’, this taut thriller stars world-renowned action star Jackie Chan as a humble restaurant owner in London’s Chinatown. On a mission to track down the rogue Irish radicals responsible for his beloved daughter’s death, he’s forced to push his moral and physical boundaries beyond limits to overcome the mysterious foreign power (Pierce Brosnan) standing between him and the truth.

The Foriegner is slated for a tentative September 30th release in Asia, and an October 13th release in the United States.
