THE SILENT PARTNER (1978)
For some reason, I thought Elliott Gould was dead. Apparently not. Anyway, here is one of his best movies, The Silent Partner (1978).
This is a remake of the Danish film Think of a Number (Tænk på et tal) and was directed by Daryl Duke.
In the movie, Elliott Gould plays a bank clerk who grows wise to an impending heist at his place of work, and plans to use this foreknowledge to skim some of the good stuff for himself. Of course, it goes wrong and the criminal comes after Gould himself.
It’s not that it’s an underrated movie — it was well received — probably instead it’s lesser known.
