Hawkins’ Body Found! Escape Plan 3/The Predator Screenings

Hawkins’ body has been found… in miniature form.

NECA has announced The Predator director Shane Black will finally be getting his own action figure.  You can see further imagery from the release below.

The figure is 7″ tall, has over 20 points of articulation and features a fantastic likeness of young Shane Black. Hawkins also comes with an MP5 submachine gun, pistol and knife.  Only 3,000 will be made, so check out this summer’s San Diego Comic Con to get the chance to pre-order one.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK

More 1980’s-tier goodness. I thought I’d throw this tidbit from Top Gun 2 in as well, small as it is.  They’re apparently getting the old nostalgia back in with Tom Cruise repeating his runway bike runs, as seen in the original movie.

Now all they have to do is select an appropriate soundtrack… cannot stress that enough.

ESCAPE PLAN 3/THE PREDATOR SCREENINGS

Screenings have taken place for Escape Plan 3 and The Predator.  Briefly, one movie has received a warm response, the other not so much.  In Escape Plan 3, a career first will come for Sylvester Stallone according to one who has seen the movie on Stallone’s forums, although what that is remains to be seen.  Has Stallone ever died in a movie before?

Reception for The Predator is less enthusiastic.  There has been what was apparently a test screening which includes a significantly altered ending.  Those who have seen the movie are complaining about the child character and an inappropriate saturation of humor.
