S. Craig Zahler will try to do the impossible and best his masterpieces Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99.

Dragged Across Concrete will be the latest effort.  Check out Mr. Gibson and Mr. Vaughn as bent cops setting out to get theirs in a world where the system is rotten and criminal in itself anyway.

THEY LIVE 2

This week, while out discussing the new Halloween movie, John Carpenter was asked about They Live 2.  He said that at one point, Matt Reeves was supposed to helm the project but moved on.

Then Carpenter responded to how he himself would approach a modern-day take on the film, and the filmmaker said: “Well, I’m not gonna tell you about that, because it might be closer to reality than you think…. The sequel is, well, we’ll see. We’ll just have to see.”

The original was cutting edge because it challenged the power of the ‘Deep State’ and the insouciant pissants who enable it.  But will this new movie actually keep up that rebelliousness?

HITMAN 2

Actor Sean Bean will appear in Hitman 2 as the game’s first Elusive Target, the game’s high-stakes contracts that are only available for a limited time, developer IO Interactive announced today.

Bean will play a character known as Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent turned freelance assassin.
