MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK

Jon Bernthal  and Vera Farmiga  are in final talks to join The Sopranos prequel film The Many Saints of Newark for New Line Cinema.

Set in the era of the Newark riots in the 1960s, the ensemble drama takes place when African-Americans and Italians of Newark were at each other’s throats and when among the gangsters of each group, it became especially lethal.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE

Mission accepted. Christopher McQuarrie is coming back for two more Mission: Impossible films. Variety reports that the Rogue Nation and Fallout filmmaker has signed on to write and direct the next two Mission films. McQuarrie confirmed the news on twitter.

The films will be shot back-to-back, which sounds like a big ask.  Then released in 2021 and 2022 respectively.  So it looks like a full action slate for Tom Cruise, who’ll also have Top Gun: Maverick coming out as well.
