Eddie Murphy Trashes Comic Book Movies

Man engages in wrong think!

Eddie Murphy opined a few years back that comic book movies were not his thing.  Now, speaking to IndieWire, Murphy has once again said that he is ‘not down with the whole superhero thing’.

“No! I’m going to be 60 in a year. Who would I play? The old brotherman? I guess that’d be the character. Man, fuck that. I can’t be standing around in a movie with a stick and shit, pointing and telling people, ‘Oh, you should do this or that.’ I’m just not down with the whole superhero movie thing. But, if I had to, I guess I could play a villain or some shit like that.”

Murphy’s next, Coming 2 America, will be set mostly in Africa.  Murphy will then dust off Detective Foley for a big Netflix push on Beverly Hills Cop IV.
