News comes that they are not only preparing a Terminator 7 despite the drizzling shits that were the recent movies, but they’re also bringing back an old face.  WeGotThisCovered says that Robert Patrick is returning as another T-1000.

We’ve heard form our sources this week – the same ones that told us Fast & Furious 9 would be heading to outer space long before it was confirmed by Michelle Rodriguez – that Robert Patrick is being eyed for an unlikely return as a different version of the T-1000 in a future Terminator project.

So this is like… Terminator 4, version 2.0.  And how can you not be cynical here, there may even be some who can’t take it anymore.  The soup has been pissed in, then shat in.  With James Cameron himself pissing into it.  They’ve already retconned the bad sequels, with another bad sequel.

But since you ask… here’s what the same website says about this question:

Despite the last one bombing, James Cameron still wants a new Terminator film and this one to be set during the war in the future.

In another world, that should have us all giddy with excitement.  But how many times have we been burned now with this kind of stuff?  It is interesting though, how could such a movie tie-in with Terminator: Dark Fate?

The only man to save this franchise is probably Cameron, with a future war movie, which probably makes this all too good to be true.
