Here is the final trailer for No Time to Die. The film will be Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond and the 25th Bond movie overall.
Synopsis: Recruited to rescue a kidnapped scientist, globe-trotting spy James Bond finds himself hot on the trail of a mysterious villain, who’s armed with a dangerous new technology.
There is trouble and there is controversy surrounding this movie. First, the cost is over $300 million, with interest in the movie rising by another $1 million for every month it sits unreleased. MGM reportedly now need the movie to hit $900 million to break even.
But another problem… an old story for entertainment these days, the movie apparently went through a forced political curation. There is talk that this movie has been put through the woke wringer and indeed, that could correlate with something I posted on this film over two years ago:
CREEPY FEMINIST COMMISSARS ON BOND SET
The days of James Bond being a sexist, misogynistic dinosaur are over. According to The Daily Mail, Fleabag (whatever the hell that is) star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is being drafted in by producers to meet Daniel Craig and work on the new film script.
Maybe some of us thought (or hoped) this was a joke. Gotta invoke Poe’s Law by the hour these days. Turns out it is not.
According to the Sun Bond 25 producers hired the consultants to ensure that the stars – including new Bond girl Ana De Armas – feel empowered. A ‘film insider’ explained that the move was part of an effort to get #MeToo compliant.
‘Producer Barbara Broccoli and her team are going all out to bring Bond up to speed. It’s all changed in the #MeToo era and they’re going to extra lengths to make sure all the stars are getting the support they need on set, including during some of the more risqué sex scenes,’ the insider said.
I mean ‘commissar’ is not too strong a word, is it? What would you call it? Aside from that, nothing seems massively out of place in the trailer. It looks slick, if unremarkable which in my opinion would be par for the course for Craig’s tenure. A new documentary is going to be available for free, by the way, Being James Bond.
This will be available of the Apple TV app from the 7th of September to the 7th of October and quite frankly looks more interesting.
